I’d suggest using the HP Scan and Capture to scan - as a work around. You have covered all the relevant steps to troubleshoot this issue Going through your post, I see that you are having issues while using the HP Support Assistant. May the Forums be with you! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel! My conclusion is that this anomaly is a WIN/10 PRO issue. Yes, I can see my HP7525’s ink levels, etc.ĪND, I have no issues activating the “Printer Assistant" on my Windows 10 HOME laptop, which has all the latest updates as well, including yesterday’s MS updates. And by the way the webpage is really primitive. HP’s IP based webpage via, allows me to “scan” but does not allow me to save the scanned document to my PC. And it works, as I was able to scan from my HP7525 to my PC. HP Scan Extended appears a bit un-pretty, but looks better than the webpage below. Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended" WORK AROUND = I found this: HP Scan Extended
